TTA provides shipping-related services, dry-bulk shipping and offshore oil and gas services. The company is also engaged in fertilizer production and warehousing, coal mining, and end-to-end coal logistics. It has operations in Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and the Middle East.

TTA operates through four business segments: energy; transport; infrastructure; and holding.

The energy segment is engaged in the provision of offshore services to the oil and gas industry, particularly subsea engineering and tender-assisted drilling through a majority-owned subsidiary, Mermaid Maritime (Mermaid). Mermaid provides full turnkey services to oil and gas majors operating offshore through a diversified portfolio of subsea vessels, specialized diving equipment, remotely operated vehicles and drilling and accommodation rigs. Mermaid operates a facility at its operational base in Chonburi, Thailand and also has shore bases at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Balikpapan in Indonesia, Qatar and Singapore. Under the coal mining business, Merton Group (Cyprus) owns 40% equity in over 12,000 hectares of coal concessions in the Philippines which it operates with its local Philippine partner, SKI Construction Group.

The company's transport segment is engaged in dry bulk business, petroleum tankering business and shipping services business. The dry bulk business provides services to dry bulk and container vessel owners and operators, trading companies, logistics companies, and contractors. The company owns Handysize, Handymax, and Supramax dry bulk vessels with range in size from 39,000 to 57,000 deadweight tons. TTA's fleet is comprised of 24 dry bulk vessels. The company operates petroleum tankering business through Philippines-based petroleum tanker company Petrolift (TTA holds 40% stake in Petrolift). TTA's shipping services companies offer general ship agency capabilities in Thailand, Vietnam, the UAE, and Indonesia, and a worldwide ship brokerage service with offices throughout the region.

The infrastructure segment is engaged in fertilizer business, coal-logistics business, port operations business, ship supplies, logistics, ship stevedoring and transportation, and third party logistics services. The segment operates through wholly-owned subsidiaries, Chidlom Marine Services & Supplies (CMSS) and Baconco, and through majority-owned subsidiaries, Unique Mining Services (UMS) and GAC Thoresen Logistics (GTL). CMSS provides ship supplies and logistics services, including supply of ship stores, cargo dunnage materials, cargo lashing and securing equipment, and others. Baconco manufactures and sells fertilizer in Vietnam and provides logistics services from its warehouse facilities. UMS is a publicly listed company in Thailand that specializes in logistics for the coal industry. It owns two coal screening facilities in Samut Sakorn and Ayudhaya, 12 barges. GTL is a third party logistics (3PL) service provider engaged in providing warehousing, warehouse management, and domestic distribution for both local and multinational clients.
