The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (MD Anderson or the organization) is a not-for-profit organization located in Houston on the campus of the Texas Medical Center in the US.

In addition, several health professionals participate in continuing education and distance-learning opportunities with MD Anderson. The company also offers Moon Shots program, to reduce mortality and suffering in several major cancers.
The organization's cancer prevention and population sciences division provides research into the biologic, genetic, environmental, economic, behavioral and social factors in cancer development; and investigations for the various types of interventions to prevent or reduce cancer risk and to improve cancer care delivery. Through the Duncan Family Institute for Cancer Prevention and Risk Assessment, the division invests in new research directions and integrating basic research and clinical studies to accelerate the translation from the clinic to the community. The Cancer Prevention Center of MD Anderson provides cancer risk assessments, screening exams based on genetics, age and gender, and personalized risk-reduction strategies, including chemo-prevention.
