The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. (Hain Celestial) is a US-based manufacturer and distributor of natural and organic food products, and natural personal care products. The company sells its products to specialty and natural food distributors, supermarkets, natural food stores, mass-market retailers, e-commerce retailers, food service channels and club, drug and convenience stores. Hain Celestial classifies its product portfolio into five categories: Grocery, Snacks, Teas, Personal Care products and Poultry/Protein Products. The Grocery product category of the company carries out the developing, manufacturing, marketing and distributing a comprehensive line of branded natural and organic grocery products in numerous categories including non-dairy beverages such as rice, oat and soy; cookies, popcorn cakes, flour and baking mixes, crackers, pasta, hot and cold cereals, condiments, baby food, cooking and culinary oils, granolas, granola bars, cereal bars, canned, aseptic and instant soups, chilis, packaged grain, nut butters and nutritional oils, juices, frozen desserts, pastas, ethnic meals, frozen fruit and vegetables. As of 30 June 2016, the Grocery product category reported revenue of US$1,800.6 million or 62.4% of the company’s total revenue. Snacks product category includes branded snack products including a variety of potato and vegetable chips, organic tortilla style chips, pretzels, baked cheddar puffs, whole grain chips and popcorn. As of 30 June 2016, the Snacks product category reported revenue of US$492.5 million or 17.1% of the company’s total revenue. The company through Teas product category manufactures and market specialty teas. It develops flavorful and unique blends which are made from natural ingredients and flavors. Its tea products include over 70 varieties of herbal, wellness, green, red (rooibos), white and chai teas. As of 30 June 2016, the Teas product category reported revenue of US$307.8 million or 10.7% of the company’s total revenue. The Personal Care product category of the company comprise natural health and beauty products, which includes a variety of personal care categories including hair, skin and oral care, baby care items, deodorants, diapers, body washes, acne treatment and sunscreens. As of 30 June 2016, the Personal Care product category reported revenue of US$171.7 million or 5.9% of the company’s total revenue. The company’s Poultry/Protein Products are manufactured and marketed as vegetarian fed and humanely raised, antibiotic-free or organic and kosher products. As of 30 June 2016, the The Poultry/Protein Products category reported revenue of US$112.7 million or 3.9% of the company’s total revenue. Some of the major brands of the company through which it markets its products include Soy Dream, WestSoy, Rice Dream, Coconut Dream, Almond Dream, Earth's Best, Hain Pure Foods, Spectrum, Hollywood, The Greek Gods, Veggie Chips, Garden Veggie Straws, Little Bear Snack Foods, Lemon Zinger, Lemon Zinger, Avalon Organics, Alba Botanica and JASON. The company classifies its geographic operations into three segments: the US, the UK, and All Other. As of 30 June 2016, the US accounted for US$1,729.7 million (59.9%), the UK accounted for US$859.2 million (29.8%), and All Other accounted for US$296.4 million (10.3%).
