The GPT Group (GPT or "the company") owns and manages a diversified portfolio of Australian property assets. The company is engaged in investment in income producing retail, office and logistics and business parks assets; development of retail, office and logistics and business parks properties; property funds management; and property management. GPT Group comprises General Property Trust, GPT RE Limited, GPT Management Holdings Limited and their controlled entities. The company primarily operates in Australia.

The company operates through five business segments: Retail; Office; Logistics; Funds Management, and Corporate.

The Retail segment includes regional, sub-regional and community shopping centers, homemaker city (bulky goods) centers, retail re-developments and new retail developments as well as development and property management of retail assets. In FY2016, the Retail segment reported revenues of AUD348.9 million, which accounted for 51.4% of the company's total revenue.

The Office segment key markets such as hiring intentions, business confidence and equity markets. The products and services of this segment are ownership and management of prime CBD office properties with some associated retail space, including property management and development activities. The Office segment portfolio comprises highest proportion of premium and A-Grade office assets out of ASX-listed AREIT sector. Further, its income grew by 6.3% coupled with increased occupancy ratio of 97% % (including signed leases). The main contribution to income growth was from MLC Centre, Melbourne Central and Farrer Place. In FY2016, the Office segment reported revenues of AUD220.4 million, which accounted for 32.5% of the company's total revenue.

The Logistics segment consists of ownership in 24 high quality logistics and business park assets and investments of AUD1.4 billion includes assets held on the Group's balance sheet and an investment in the GPT Metro Office Fund (GMF). GPT's has total logistics assets under management of AUD1.4 billion. The products and services which generates segment result established logistics and business park assets, including property management and development activities. In FY2016, the Logistics segment reported revenues of AUD109.1 million, which accounted for 16.1% of the company's total revenue.

The Funds Management segment operations includes funds management, property management and development management. Its fund management platform includes GPT Wholesale Office Fund (GWOF), launched in July 2006 and GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund (GWSCF) launched in March 2007. The Funds Management segment did not generate any revenue in FY2016.

The Corporate segment includes Cash and other assets and borrowings and associated hedges plus resulting net finance costs, management operating costs and income tax expense. The Corporate segment did not generate any revenue in FY2016.
