The company operates through two business segments: CooperVision (CVI) and CooperSurgical (CSI).
The CVI segment offers soft contact lens market and services in different regions. The contact lens market has two major product categories, including the spherical lenses along with the lenses that correct near- and farsightedness uncomplicated by more complex visual defects, and also toric and multifocal lenses including lenses that, in addition to correcting near- and farsightedness, address more complex visual defects such as astigmatism and presbyopia. CVI’s products are primarily manufactured at its facilities located in the UK, Puerto Rico, Hungary, Costa Rica and New York. The segment distributes products from New York, the UK, Belgium, and various smaller international distribution facilities.
The CSI segment offers a broad array of products used in the care and treatment of women. The segment offers quality products, innovative technologies and superior service to clinicians worldwide. The segment collaborates with clinicians to identify products and new technologies from disposable products to sophisticated instruments and equipment. CSI’s products support the point of healthcare delivery in the hospital, clinician's office and fertility clinics. Its major manufacturing and distribution facilities are located in Connecticut, Texas, Denmark and various smaller international locations, with diagnostic facilities located in California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, and internationally in Canada and the UK.
