Teleflex Incorporated (Teleflex or 'the company') offers specialty medical devices for a range of procedures in critical care and surgery. The company sells its products to hospitals and healthcare providers in more than 150 countries across the globe.

The company conducts its operations through six reportable segments: EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), Vascular North America, Asia, Anesthesia North America, Surgical North America, and OEM.

Teleflex's EMEA segment designs, manufactures and distributes medical devices primarily used in critical care, surgical applications and cardiac care and generally serves two end markets: hospitals and healthcare providers, and home health. The products of the EMEA segment are used in the acute care settings for a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and in general and specialty surgical applications, including urology.

The company’s Vascular North America segment is comprised of North American vascular and interventional access businesses. In its Vascular North America segment, the company's vascular access products facilitate a variety of critical care therapies, including the administration of intravenous medications and other therapies, the measurement of blood pressure and taking of blood samples through a single puncture site. The company's vascular access devices, which are primarily catheters and related devices, principally consist of products such as ARROW central venous catheters, or CVCs, Arrow EZ-IO system, ARROW jugular axillo-subclavian central catheters (JACCs), ARROW peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), VPS G4 Vascular Positioning System, VPS G4 Vascular Positioning System, ARROW arterial catheterization sets, and ARROW percutaneous sheath introducers.

Teleflex also offers many of its vascular access catheters in a Maximal Barrier Precautions Tray. The tray is available for CVCs, PICCs and multi access catheters (MAC) and includes a full body drape, coated or non-coated catheter and other accessories.

The company’s interventional access products are used in a range of applications, including dialysis, oncology and critical care therapies. Its interventional access portfolio also includes several arrow branded products, such as diagnostic and drainage kits, embolectomy balloons, and reinforced percutaneous sheath introducers. Its interventional access products include Arrow OnControl Powered Bone Marrow / Bone Access System, Arrow Trerotola Percutaneous Thrombectomy Device (PTD), Arrow Chronic Hemodialysis Catheters, and Arrow Acute Hemodialysis Catheters.

The company's Anesthesia North America segment is comprised of North American airway management and pain management businesses.

Airway management products and related devices consist of LMA airways, LMA atomization, and RUSCH endotracheal tubes and laryngoscopes. Portfolio of pain management products manufactured by the company includes Arrow Epidural catheters and trays, Arrow Peripheral Nerve Block (PNB) products, AutoFuser disposable pain pumps, and Arrow EZ-IO system.

The company's Surgical North America segment offers surgical products, which are designed to provide surgeons with a range of devices for use in a variety of surgical procedures. Its portfolio consists of both single-use and reusable products, including WeckLigation Systems; Weck EFx Fascial Closure System; and Percutaneous Surgical Systems. Teleflex’s other branded surgical products include Weck Vista bladeless access ports, Deknatel sutures and Pilling and Kmedic surgical instruments.

The OEM segment of Teleflex designs, manufactures and supplies devices and instruments for other medical device manufacturers. The company's OEM segment, which includes the TFX OEM and Deknatel OEM brands, provides custom-engineered extrusions, diagnostic and interventional catheters, sheath/dilator sets (introducers) and kits, sutures, performance fibers, and bioresorbable resins and fibers. The company offers an extensive portfolio of integrated capabilities, including engineering, material selection, regulatory affairs, prototyping, testing and validation, manufacturing, assembly and packing. The OEM segment also offers balloons and balloon catheters.

In addition, the company has 'all other' business that offers single-use respiratory, urology and cardiac care products, as well as capital equipment, which are provided to hospitals and other alternative channels of care. “All other" line item also includes the company’s Latin American business. The company’s respiratory products are used in a variety of care settings and include oxygen therapy products, aerosol therapy products, spirometry products, and ventilation management products. Its urology product portfolio provides bladder management for patients in the hospital and individuals in the home care markets. The product portfolio consists principally of a range of catheters (including Foley, intermittent, external and suprapubic), urine collectors, catheterization accessories and products for operative endourology marketed under the Rusch brand name.

The company’s cardiac care product portfolio includes diagnostic and intra-aortic balloon catheters and capital equipment. Its Latin America business generally engages in the same type of operations, and serves the same type of end markets, as the EMEA and Asia segments.
