The company operates through three business segments: Electronic Components, Automotive Infotainment, and Logistics.

The Electronic Components segment involves the development, manufacturing, and marketing of a variety of electronic components and modules. The segment primarily offers its products to the automotive and consumer businesses. The automotive division provides custom products and modules, including control panels and steering modules, for specific vehicle models, as well as components compatible with any vehicle. The consumer division supplies consumer electronic products and digital consumer products. It also provides smartphone components such as switches, camera actuators with a built-in optical image stabilization function. In FY2016, the Electronic Components segment reported revenues of JPY434,072 million, which accounted for 56.1% of the company's total revenue.

The Automotive Infotainment segment involves in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of audio, information, and communication equipment products for automobiles. This business is operated by the company's subsidiary, Alpine Electronics. In FY2016, the Automotive Infotainment segment reported revenues of JPY267,541 million, which accounted for 34.6% of the company's total revenue.

The Logistics segment involves in the provision of transportation, storage, and forwarding services. This business is operated by the company's Alps Logistics Company subsidiary. In FY2016, the Logistics segment reported revenues of JPY60,251 million, which accounted for 7.8% of the company's total revenue.

Additionally, the company’s other business includes the development of information systems, office services, financial, and leasing businesses. In FY2016, the Other Business segment reported revenues of JPY12,173 million, which accounted for 1.6% of the company's total revenue.

Geographically, the company classifies its operations into five segments, namely Japan, China. In FY2016, Japan accounted for 18.6% of the company's total revenues, followed by China with 15.4%; Germany with 9.9%; the Americas with 19.8%; and Other with 36.3%.
