The Latin America segment includes Energizer’s markets in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. In FY2016, the North America segment reported revenues of USD891.4 million, which accounted for 54.5% of the company's total revenue. The EMEA segment reported revenues of USD353.8 million in FY2016, which accounted for 21.6% of the company's total revenue. In FY2016, the Asia Pacific segment reported revenues of USD278.4 million, which accounted for 17% of the company's total revenue; and the Latin America segment reported revenues of USD110.6 million, which accounted for 6.8% of the total revenue in FY2016.
The company offers batteries using many technologies, including lithium, alkaline, carbon zinc, nickel metal hydride, zinc air, and silver oxide. These products are sold under the Energizer and Eveready brands in the performance, premium and price segments and include primary, rechargeable, specialty and hearing aid products. In addition, Energizer offers an extensive line of lighting products.
Energizer distributes, markets, and licenses lighting products such as headlights, lanterns, kid’s lights and area lights. The company also markets its flashlights under the Hard Case, Dolphin, and WeatherReady sub-brands. In addition to batteries and portable lights, Energizer licenses the Energizer and Eveready brands to companies that develop consumer solutions in gaming, automotive batteries, portable power for critical devices (like smart phones), light-emitting diode (LED) light bulbs and other lighting products.
The company markets its products through direct sales force, exclusive and non-exclusive distributors, and wholesalers. Energizer distributes its products to consumers through several retail locations globally, including mass merchandisers and warehouse clubs, food, drug and convenience stores, electronics specialty stores and department stores, hardware and automotive centers, military stores and e-commerce.
Geographically, the company classifies its operations into two segments, namely the US and International. In FY2016, the US segment accounted for 50.4% of the company's total revenues, followed by International with 49.6%.
