The industrial platform serves the vehicle service, industrial automation, and waste and recycling markets. The segment operates 40 manufacturing facilities, 40 Warehouses and 76 sales and service units. As of December 31, 2016, the engineered systems segment reported revenue of US$2,366.3 million, including eliminations, or 34.8% of the company’s revenue. Dover's refrigeration and food equipment segment offers energy efficient equipment and systems to commercial refrigeration and food service end markets. It offers refrigeration display cases, commercial glass refrigerators, display cases, freezer exchangers and brazed heat exchangers to industrial and climate control markets. The segment also offers electrical distribution products and engineering services, cook-chill production systems, custom food storage and preparation products, conveyor systems, kitchen ventilation systems, packaging systems and beverage can-making machinery. It operates 17 manufacturing facilities, 15 warehouses and 20 sales and service units. As of December 31, 2016, the refrigeration and food equipment segment reported revenue of US$1,620 million, including eliminations, or 23.8% of the company’s total revenue. Through the energy segment, Dover provides customer driven solutions and services for production and processing of oil, natural gas liquids, and gas worldwide. The segment serves the drilling and production, bearings and compression, and automation end markets. The drilling and production business serves the drilling market design and manufacture products, including long-lasting polycrystalline diamond cutters (PDCs) for applications in down-hole drilling tools. The bearings and compression business manufacture various compressor parts that are used in the natural gas production, distribution, and oil refining markets and the automation business design and manufacture products that promote efficient drilling and production of oil and gas. The segment operates 43 manufacturing facilities, 44 warehouses and 65 sales and service units. As of December 31, 2016, the energy segment reported revenue of US$1,108.4 million, including eliminations, or 16.3% of the company total revenue. Dover’s fluid solutions segment is focused on safe handling of critical fluids across the retail fueling, chemical, hygienic, and industrial markets. The segment serves two broad global end markets, including fluid transfer and pumps. The fluid transfer business provides fluid handling solutions from refineries and chemical-processing plants through point-to-point transfers, transportation, and delivery to the final point of consumption at retail and commercial fueling operations around the globe. The company's pumps and compressors are used to transfer liquid and bulk products and are sold to a wide variety of markets, including the refined fuels, LPG, food/sanitary, transportation, and chemical process industries. The segment operates 43 manufacturing facilities, 15 warehouses and 49 sales and service units. As of December 31, 2016, the fluids segment reported revenue of US$1,620.3 million, including eliminations, or 25% of the company total revenue. The company classifies its geographic operations into five regions: the US, Europe, Other Americas, Asia and Other. For FY2016, the US region accounted for 57.6% of the company total revenue, followed by Europe with 18.6%, Other Americas with 8.7%, Asia with 9.9% and Other with 5.2%.
