Dongyue Group Limited (Dongyue) through its subsidiaries engaged in the production, manufacture and sale of chemical products. The company operates through six business segments: Refrigerants; Polymers; Organic silicone; Dichloromethane, Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and Liquid alkali; Property development and Other segment. The Refrigerants segment manufactures products such as R22, R32, R125, R134a, R142b, R152a, and others. R22 is generally used in household appliances and is one of the raw materials for the production of the fluoropolymers. R142b is used as refrigerant, temperature controller medium, or intermediates of aviation propellant; and it is also used as a main raw material for the production of vinylidene fluoride (VDF). In FY2016, the Refrigerants segment reported revenue of RMB1,828 million, which accounted for 22.9% of the total net sales of the company. The Polymers segment produces polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP). The segment offers PTFE in various forms such as suspension medium grains, suspension fine powders, dispersion resins and concentrate liquids. In FY2016, the Polymers segment reported revenue of RMB2,187.6 million, which accounted for 27.4% of the total net sales of the company. The Organic silicone segment includes the production and sales of DMC, 107 silicone rubber, raw vulcanizate and gross rubber. DMC are organic silicone intermediates that are used as raw materials to produce deep proceeded mid-stream and downstream silicone products, such as silicone oils, silicone rubber and silicone resins. The gross rubber is the deep proceeded silicone rubber product, where Raw Vulcanizate is a raw material for producing gross rubber. It also produces gaseous silica and silicone oils. In FY2016, the Organic silicone segment reported revenue of RMB1,684.7 million, which accounted for 21.1% of the total net sales of the company. The Dichloromethane, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and liquid alkali segment includes the manufacture of dichloromethane, liquid alkali and PVC products. Liquid alkali is a basic chemical product from the production of the methane chloride which is an essential chemical for the production of refrigerants and organic silicone products and is used in the textile, power and materials industries. Methane chloride includes dichloromethane, which is mainly used to produce antibiotics and as a foaming mode for polyurethane. In FY2016, the Dichloromethane, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and liquid alkali segment reported revenue of RMB1,211.2 million, which accounted for 15.2%of the total net sales of the company. Dongyue’s Property development segment focuses on the development of residential properties at Shandong Province. In FY2016, the Property development segment reported revenue of RMB 871.2 million, which accounted for 10.9% of the total net sales of the company. The Other segment includes the revenue from the production and sale of Dongyue’s other by-products of the various operating segments, such as ammonium bifluoride and hydrofluoric acid and bromine, among other. In FY2016, the Other segment reported revenue of RMB186.9 million, which accounted for 2.3% of the total net sales of the company. The company’s new product development initiatives include perfluorosulfonic acid ion-exchange resin (PFSA), PFSA ionomer dispersion and PFSA proton exchange membrane. Dongyue's subsidiaries include Shandong Dongyue Organosilicon Material Co., Ltd.; Inner Mongolia Dongyue Fluorine Chemicals Co., Ltd.; Shandong Dongyue Polymers Co., Ltd.; Shandong Dongyue Chemicals Co., Ltd.; Dongying Dongyue Precision Chemicals Co., Ltd; and Dongyue Fluo-Silicon Materials Co., Ltd. Geographically, the company classifies its revenue into five regions, namely, Peoples Republic of China (PRC), the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia (excluding PRC) and Other regions. The PRC region accounted for 81.9% of its total revenue in FY2016, followed by Asia region with 11.2%, the Americas region with 3.9%, Europe region with 2.2%, Africa region with 0.6% and Other regions with 0.2% revenue
