Advisory offers ECO solutions, hydrodynamics; life cycle management; maritime cybernetics; mechanical and systems engineering; noise and vibration; safety, risk and reliability; shipping advisory; and structures. Certification of Materials and Components comprises of approval of manufacturers; marine components and systems; materials and corrosion protection; underwater technology; and welding services. Maritime training consists of designing; offshore maritime training; competence and qualification; crew and crewing; knowledge management; energy efficiency; environmental protection; security; ship technology; surveys and inspection. In FY16 the maritime segment generated NOK8,216.1 million, which accounted for 39.4% of company’s total revenue. DNV’s Oil and Gas segment includes advisory; inspection; laboratories and test facilities; noble denton marine services; oil and gas training; and verification and certification. The advisory services are asset risk management; enterprise risk management; environmental risk management; information risk management; knowledge management; safety risk management; and technical advisory services. Oil and Gas training services includes gas infrastructure and transport, hazard leadership, hazard operations, offshore operations, offshore pipeline training, environment training, and sustainable gases. In FY16 the oil and gas segment generated NOK4,954.5 million, which accounted for 23.8% of company’s total revenue. DNV’s Energy segment offers academy, electricity transmission and distribution, energy software tools, energy storage, fossil energy, and renewable certification. The academy provides data communication; energy transition; management and general; power cable technology; renewable certification; risk management and decision making; solar transmission and distribution; wave and tidal; and wind energy. Electricity transmission and distribution offers asset management; balancing electricity; grid design; grid project; grid strengthening; grid technology; offshore transmission and distribution; power operation; power planning; and project management. The fossil energy consists of fossil asset management, power plant cost reduction, power plant development, and power plant operations. In FY16 the energy segment generated NOK3,582.5 million, which accounted for 17.2% of company’s total revenue. DNV’s Business Assurance Training segment comprises of business assurance training; climate change services; aquaculture equipment’s; healthcare certification; energy management; quality management; supply chain security; product assurance; and sustainable sourcing. In FY16 the business assurance training segment generated NOK3,145.9 million, which accounted for 15.1% of company’s total revenue. DNV’s Software provides services such as maritime software; offshore maritime engineering; operational risk and performance; software training services and operational risk performance. Maritime software comprises of nauticus hull, nautics machinery modules, ship design, ship management, and ship operations. Software training includes maros and taro training, navifgator and shipManger trainining, sesam training, synergi life software taioning, and synergi asset integrity software training. In FY16 the software provides services generated NOK859.1 million, which accounted for 4.1% of company’s total revenue. In FY16 Others segment has generated NOK76 million, which accounted for 0.4% of company’s total revenue.
