Dialog Axiata PLC (Dialog Axiata), provides communication services such as mobile, fixed, broadband, and international gateway services; telecommunication infrastructure services such as tower infrastructure and transmission services; media services such as digital television services; Dialog Axiata is a subsidiary of the Axiata Group Berhad. The company classifies its business operations into three business segments: mobile operations, fixed telephony and broadband operations; and television operations. Dialog Axiata’s mobile operations segment offers telecommunication services through 2.5 generation, third generation (3G), 3.5 generation, fourth generation (4G) generation and 4.5G generation. The company provides its services through a network of around 3,000 2G/3G sites and 1,000 4G sites located across provinces that link its customers to around 200 global destinations through international roaming, including 3G and 4G services. In FY2016, the mobile operation segment reported revenue of LKR72, 454.86 million, which accounted for 83.5% of the company’s total revenue The company's fixed telephony and broadband operations segment provides broadband services through its subsidiary, Dialog Broadband Networks (Private) Ltd (DBN). DBN serves residential and enterprise customers with voice, broadband, leased lines and customized telecommunication services. The segment also provides long term evolution broadband services and radio and optical fiber based transmission infrastructure facilities. In FY2016, the fixed telephony and broadband operation segment reported revenue of LKR8,210.17 million, which accounted for 9.5% of the company’s total revenue. Dialog Axiata operates its television operations segment through its subsidiary, Dialog Television (Private) Ltd (DTV). DTV offers direct-to-home satellite entertainment services through its Digital Satellite TV. DTV supports international and local content in both standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) formats. In FY2016, the television operation segment reported revenue of LKR6,080.2 million that accounted for 7% of the company’s total revenue. The company's other subsidiaries include: Dialog Television Trading (Private) Limited; Digital Holdings Lanka (Private) Limited; Telecard (Private) Limited; Digital Commerce Lanka (Pvt) Ltd; Digital Health (Private) Limited; and Communiq Broadband Network (Private) Limited.
