Devon Energy Corporation (Devon or 'the company') is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company. The company owns natural gas pipelines, plants and treatment facilities through its ownership in EnLink and the general partner. Devon also produces about 1.6 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas a day and more than 136,000 barrels per day (Bbls/d) of natural gas liquids (NGLs) per day. Devon's operations are focused onshore areas in the US and Canada. The company operates through three segments: the US, EnLink and Canada The company's operations in the US are focused in Barnett Shale, Delaware Basin, STACK, Eagle Ford, Rockies Oil and Heavy Oil. The Barnett Shale is located primarily in Denton, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant, and Wise counties, in north Texas. During FY2016, the region produced a total of 169,000 barrels of equivalent per day (Boe/d) of oil, bitumen, gas and NGLs. The Delaware basin is involved in exploration and development from geologic reservoirs and play types, including the oil-rich Bone Spring, Delaware, Wolfcamp and Leonard formations. The basin produced 60,000 Boe/d of oil, bitumen, gas and NGLs during the year. The STACK plays is located primarily in Oklahoma’s Canadian, Kingfisher and Blaine counties and is the stacked pay in the area. The STACK play produced 93,000 Boe/d of oil, gas, bitumen and NGLS in FY2016. The Eagle Ford have approximately 66,000 net acres located in the DeWitt and Lavaca counties in south Texas. The Rockies Oil operations are focused on emerging oil opportunities in the Powder River Basin and the Wind River Basin. In the Powder River, the company is currently targeting several Cretaceous oil objectives, including the Turner, Parkman and Frontier formations. The Heavy Oil operations are focused on the company’s heavy oil assets in Alberta, Canada. In FY2016, the US segment reported revenues of USD5,722 million, which accounted for 55.5% of the company's total revenue. EnLink's operations primarily focus on providing midstream energy services, including gathering, transmission, processing, fractionation and marketing, to upstream producers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil and condensate, including Devon. EnLink connects the wells of natural gas producers in its market areas to its gathering systems, processes natural gas for the removal of NGLs, fractionates NGLs into purity products and markets those products for a fee, transports natural gas and ultimately provides natural gas to a variety of markets. Further, EnLink purchases natural gas from natural gas producers and other supply sources and sells that natural gas to utilities, industrial consumers, other marketers and pipelines. Moreover, EnLink's assets are comprised of systems and other assets located in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. In Texas, the assets consist of transmission pipelines with a capacity of approximately 920 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d), processing facilities with a total processing capacity of approximately 1.6 Bcf/d and gathering systems with total capacity of approximately 2.3 Bcf/d. The Oklahoma assets consist of processing facilities with a total processing capacity of approximately 795 MMcf/d and gathering systems with total capacity of approximately 810 MMcf/d. The Louisiana assets consist of transmission pipelines with a capacity of approximately 3.5 Bcf/d, processing facilities with a total processing capacity of approximately 1.9 Bcf/d and gathering systems with total capacity of approximately 510 MMcf/d, 720 miles of liquids transport lines and four fractionation assets with total fractionation capacity of 175,000 Bbls/d. In FY2016, the Enlink segment reported revenues of USD3,551 million, which accounted for 34.5% of the company's total revenue. Devon's operations in Canada have two main projects, Jackfish and Pike, located in Alberta. Jackfish is the thermal heavy oil project in the non-conventional oil sands of east central Alberta with steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) system. Pike oil sands acreage is situated directly to the south of Jackfish acreage in east central Alberta and has similar reservoir characteristics to Jackfish. The Pike leasehold is currently undeveloped and has no proved reserves or production. In addition to the Jackfish and Pike projects, the company hold acreage and own producing assets in the Bonnyville region. The Bonnyville properties are located to the south and east of Jackfish in eastern Alberta. Bonnyville produces heavy oil by conventional means, without the need for steam injection. In FY2016, the Canada segment reported revenues of USD1,031 million, which accounted for 10% of the company's total revenue. During FY2016, the US operations produced a total of 174 MMBoe/d of oil, bitumen, gas and NGLs and the Canadian operations produced a total of 49 MMBoe/d of oil, bitumen, gas and NGLs.
