DDR is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT), which is involved in owning, managing and developing a portfolio of shopping centers and office properties. The company operates in the US, Puerto Rico and Brazil. The company operates its business in two segments: Shopping Centers and Loan Investments. In FY2016, the Shopping Centers segment reported revenues of USD1,005.8 million, which accounted for 100.0% of the company's total revenue. DDR's portfolio consists of 317 shopping centers (including 152 shopping centers owned through joint ventures). These properties consist of shopping centers owned in the US and Puerto Rico. As of February 2017, the company owned and managed more than 106 million total square feet of gross leasable area (GLA). The shopping centers are located in 35 states as well as Puerto Rico (14 assets). The company's subsidiaries include 1000 Van Ness Owners Association; AIP Office Flex II LLC; AIP Tamarac, Inc.; AIP-SWAG GP, Inc.; American Property Protection Company; Benderson-Wainberg Associates, L.P.; BG Milestrip, LLC; and BG Toledo, LLC.
