Dana Gas is a natural gas company engaged in the exploration and production of oil, gas and natural gas liquids from its operations in Egypt and the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The company's primary area of activity is in the upstream sector, exploration and production. The company has its major projects in Egypt, the UAE and Iraq. In Egypt, the company is the 100% operator of production, exploration and developments in the Nile Delta and 50% joint operator in Upper Egypt. Dana Gas has a 26.4% interest in Egyptian Bahrain Gas Derivatives Company (EBGDCo), a joint venture to build a LPG (Liquefied Natural Gas) extraction plant at Ras Shukhier on the Gulf of Suez. This interest is held through Dana Gas' 66% ownership of Danagaz Bahrain. Dana Gas owns a 100% interest in three concessions onshore Nile Delta, the El Manzala, West El Manzala and West El Qantara concessions. It consists of 14 development leases with gas and condensate production from 12 fields, and with a further two fields in the development. The gas production is about 155 millions of standard cubic feet (MMscf) per day and 4,800 Barrels Per Day (bbls) condensate. In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Dana Gas holds a 35% interest in Pearl Petroleum Company Ltd. (PPCL) jointly with Crescent Petroleum (35%), OMV (10%) an integrated, international oil and gas company, MOL (10%) the Hungarian-listed oil and gas company and RWE (10%). PPCL holds the rights to the Khor Mor and Chemchemal Fields. Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum jointly operate the Khor Mor Field on behalf of PPCL. Dana Gas delivers gas from Iran to the UAE plus the Western Offshore concession, including the development of the Zora Field. The Sharjah Western Offshore Concession covers total area of over 1,000 km2 including the Zora Gas Field. The company's UAE Gas Project is engaged in the purchase of imported gas in the Arabian Gulf. In FY2016, the Gas product reported revenues of $193.0 million, which accounted for 49.7% of the company's total revenue. In FY2016, the LPG product reported revenues of $63.0 million, which accounted for 16.2% of the company's total revenue. In FY2016, the product reported revenues of $132.0 million, which accounted for 34.0% of the company's total revenue. Geographically, the company classifies its operations into three segments, namely Egypt, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and the UAE. In FY2016, Egypt segment accounted for 74.5% of the company's total revenues, followed by Kurdistan Region of Iraq with 20.1%; the UAE with 5.4%. Dana Gas' wholly owned subsidiaries include: Dana Gas LNG Ventures, a company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production; Dana Gas Egypt, another oil and gas exploration and production company; Sajaa Gas Private Limited Company, which is engaged in gas sweetening; and United Gas Transmissions Company Limited (UGTC), which is engaged in gas transmission. The company's Bahrain-based subsidiary, Danagaz (Bahrain) WLL is engaged in gas processing.
