The company's subsidiary in Germany, Dairygold Deutschland GmbH, operates a sales and distribution business of cheese products to food manufacturers and specialty cheese concepts to retailers and food service operators. DFI Spain, based in Barcelona, supplies cheese products and dairy essentials to the Spanish, Italian and North African markets. Dairygold's dairy products include whole, skim and butter milk powders; milk proteins; rennet casein; butter; cheddar; and cheese and cheese powders. In FY2016, the Food Ingredients segment reported revenue of EUR539.6 million, which accounted for 71% of the co-operative’s total revenue. The company's agri business division is engaged in the supply of farm inputs and provides support services to farmers. It is engaged in the sale of grain-intake, milling, feed, fertilizer and farm requisites. Dairygold's services include supplying feeds, grain purchasing and advisory services. The company purchases over 120,000 tons of grain from over 700 farmer suppliers annually and operates four grain intake, drying and storage facilities. Dairygold manages a farm business support service with a team of professional area representatives. In FY2016, the Agri Business segment reported revenue of EUR211.7 million, which accounted for 28% of the co-operative’s total revenue. Dairygold operates its retail business across the Munster area under Co-Op SuperStores and Co-Op Stores retail brands. The company's stores offer hardware, building, garden, home and agri supplies. Its Co-op Stores are rural based outlets stocking a select range of hardware, yard and farm hardware. In FY2016, the Retail (Financial and Property) segment reported revenue of EUR4.6 million, which accounted for 1% of the co-operative’s total revenue. The company classifies its geographic operations into four segments: Ireland, the UK, Rest of Europe and Rest of World. In FY2016, Ireland accounted for 36.6% of the co-operative’s total revenue, followed by Rest of Europe (23.8%); the UK (22.1%); and Rest of World (17.5%).
