Dabur is an Indian consumer goods company that manufactures and sells a variety of products across personal care, healthcare, homecare and food categories. The company markets its products in over 120 countries and has its operations spread across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, the Americas and Europe.

The company operates through three key strategic business units, namely: Consumer Care Business, Foods Business and International Business. However, Dabur reports its revenues under four business segments: Consumer Care Business, Foods, Retail and Others.

The Consumer Care business unit consists of the company’s core FMCG businesses. This unit is further divided into key portfolios: healthcare, personal and home care.

Dabur's healthcare portfolio consists of health supplements, digestives, over-the-counter (OTC) products and ethicals. The health supplement products include Dabur Chyawanprash, Dabur Glucose and Dabur Honey. The digestive products include Hajmola tablets and candies, Pudin Hara and Nature Care. The OTC and ethicals portfolio includes products in cough and cold, women’s health care, baby care and rejuvenator categories. The personal care product portfolio consists of hair care, oral care, and skin care and salon. Hair care products include hair oils and shampoos and oral care comprises two main product categories namely toothpastes (with brands like Dabur Babool, Dabur Red Paste and Dabur Meswak) and toothpowder (with Dabur Lal Dant Manjan). Skin care and salon products consists of facial bleaches under the Fem and OxyLife brands, hair removal creams under the Fem brand and Rose-based mainstream skin care products under the Dabur Gulabari brand. The home care range of products include Odomos mosquito repellents, Odonil air fresheners, and Sanifresh toilet cleaners. In FY2016, the Consumer Care Business segment reported revenue of INR70,872.4 million, which accounted for 84% of the company's total revenue.

The company’s Foods business unit includes packaged fruit juices under Real Fruit Power and Real Activ brands, ready-to-drink beverage under Hajmola Yoodley brand, and culinary pastes under Hommade brand. In FY2016, the Foods segment reported revenue of INR10,955.9 million, which accounted for 13% of the company's total revenue.

The International business unit includes Dabur's organic overseas business as well as the acquired entities of Hobi Group and Namaste Laboratories. The company's major international markets are the Middle East, Africa, South Asia (excluding-India), the Americas and Europe (including Turkey). The company has manufacturing facilities in the UAE, Egypt, Nigeria, Turkey, Tunisia, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

In addition, the company operates specialized beauty retail business through the wholly-owned subsidiary H&B Stores. The Retail business operates a chain of beauty retail outlets under the brand name NewU. At the end of FY2016, the company had 73 NewU stores across 30 cities in India. These stores offer a wide range of beauty and personal care products and are mainly located in premium footfall malls and markets. In FY2016, the Retail segment reported revenue of INR1,159.3 million, which accounted for 1.4% of the company's total revenue.

In FY2016, the Others segment reported revenue of INR1,371.9 million, which accounted for 1.6% of the company's total revenue.

Geographically, Dabur classifies its international operations into five regions, namely the Middle East, Africa, South Asia (excluding India), Europe (including Turkey), and the Americas. In FY2016, the Middle East region accounted for 33% of the company's total revenues; followed by Africa with 22%; South Asia (excluding India) with 17%; Europe (including Turkey) with 11%; and the Americas with 17%.
