CRISIL's rating services segment is engaged in the provision of credit ratings for corporate companies, banks, small and medium enterprises (SME), training in the credit rating field, credit analysis services, grading services and global analytical services. CRISIL is a full-service rating agency, which rates a range of debt instruments, including bank loans, certificates of deposit, commercial paper, non-convertible debentures, bank hybrid capital instruments, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, perpetual bonds, and partial guarantees.
The company's research segment is involved in providing global research and analytical services, industry reports, research assignments, subscription to data services, independent equity research (IER), initial public offerings (IPO) grading and training. The company's research services include comprehensive and independent coverage on Indian economy, industries and companies; and customized research solutions. CRISIL also provides equity and credit research services.
CRISIL's advisory segment comprise infrastructure advisory and risk management practices.
The company also offers a range of risk and infrastructure solutions focused on infrastructure policy, corporate advisory, integrated risk management and associated consulting services. CRISIL serves a range of customers, including government bodies, multilaterals, banks and infrastructure companies. The company's flagship product, RAM, is one of the internal risk rating solutions in India. CRISIL also offers advisory services to regulators and governments, multilateral agencies, investors, and public and private sector firms to shape public policy, establish viable frameworks and enable infrastructure development.
