Contango Oil & Gas Company (Contango) acquires, explores, develops, exploits and produces natural gas and oil properties in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and in the onshore Texas Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain regions of the US. It primarily operates in the US. The company operates its business through offshore and onshore operations. Offshore Operations include seven federal and six state of Louisiana company-operated wells in the shallow waters of the GOM and these wells are located in four fields- Dutch and Mary Rose fields, Vermilion 170 field and Other Offshore field. Contango through its offshore consists five federal wells located at Eugene Island 10 (Dutch) and five state wells located in adjacent state of Louisiana waters (Mary Rose). These 10 wells produces through the company owned and operated production platform at Eugene Island 11. Eugene Island 11 platform designed with a capacity of 500 Mmcfe/d and 6,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd). The company's net production from Mary Rose wells and Dutch wells is approximately 42.0 Mmcfe/d. Vermilion 170 Platform is a company-owned and operated platform, designed with a capacity of 60 Mmcfed and 2,000 bopd. This platform services natural gas and condensate production from Vermilion well, which flows through the Sea Robin Pipeline to onshore processing plants. The company's net production from this well is approximately 7.1 Mmcfed. Other Offshore fields include South Timbalier 17. The company's exploration discovery at its South Timbalier 17 prospect located in state of Louisiana waters and operates through, Contango Operators, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. Contango's onshore properties include Woodbine, located in Southeast Texas; Buda/Eagle Ford, located in South Texas; Southern Delaware Basin; N. Cheyenne Project, located in Weston County, Wyoming; FRAMS Project, located in Natrona County, Wyoming; Elm Hill Project, located in South Central Texas; and other properties located in Colorado. The company's subsidiaries include the following: Contango Venture Capital Corporation, Contango Energy Company, Contaro Company, Conterra Company, Contango Mining Company, Contango Alta Investments, Crimson Exploration and Crimson Exploration Operating.
