Computer Programs & Systems Inc (CPSI) is engaged in the provision of clinical management, access management, patient financial management, health information management, strategic decision support, resource planning management and enterprise application integration solutions to healthcare organizations. The company classifies its business into three segments, namely, Acute Care EHR; Post-acute Care EHR; and TruBridge, Rycan, and Other Outsourcing. CPSI’s Acute Care EHR segment offers acute care software solutions and support. The sales are generated through Evident and Healthland. Evident and Healthland offers healthcare IT solutions to serve the needs of rural and community hospital organizations. The support and maintenance services of Evident and Healthland include total system support, user group services, software releases, hardware replacement services, Cloud EHR services, forms and supplies, eLearning, virtual classrooms, campus classrooms, online learning tools, user forum and expert exchange services. In FY2016, the Acute Care EHR segment reported revenue of US$160.8 million, which accounted for 60.2% of the company’s total revenue. The company’s Post-acute Care EHR segment provides support sales generated by its subsidiary, American HealthTech, Inc. (AHT) and also include post-acute care software solutions. AHT offers post-acute care software systems. In FY2016, the Post-acute Care EHR segment reported revenue of US$29.05 million, which accounted for 10.9% of the company’s total revenue. The TruBridge, Rycan, and Other Outsourcing segment offers business management, consulting and managed information technology services. TruBridge, LLC (TruBridge) and Rycan Technologies, Inc. (Rycan) are the company’s subsidiaries which offer these services. TruBridge provides business management services; consulting services and managed information technology services. Rycan is one of the leading providers of SaaS-based healthcare revenue cycle management solutions. The segment serves healthcare systems, providers and care givers in hospitals and skilled nursing organizations. In FY2016, the TruBridge, Rycan, and Other Outsourcing segment reported revenue of US$77.3 million, which accounted for 29% of the company’s total revenue. In FY2016, the company spent US$32.6 million on its research and development activities, which as a percentage of revenue stood at 12.2%. Geographically, the company classifies its business into, Domestic and International (includes only single foreign country, the Caribbean nation of St. Maarten). In FY2016, the company derived 99.9% of its revenue from its Domestic market followed by International market with 0.1%. The company's subsidiaries are TruBridge, Evident, Healthland, Healthland Holding, American HealthTech and Rycan Technologies.
