The company operates through four segments: Communications and Connectivity; Advanced Electronic Solutions; Aviation Services; and Mission Systems. The Communications and Connectivity segment provides high performance equipment and solutions to enable reliable connectivity across a range of demanding environments in aerospace, avionics, satellite and radio, wireless and mobile connectivity markets. In FY2016, the Communications and Connectivity segment reported revenues of £690.2 million, which accounted for 35.5% of the company's total revenue. The Advanced Electronic Solutions segment provides critical solutions for communication on land, at sea, and in the air and in space, by moving data through off-the-shelf and customized products including radio frequency, microwave, and microelectronics, antenna subsystems and motion control solutions. Cobham advanced electronic solutions segment supplies missile, radar and electronic warfare, X-ray imaging, medical and industrial markets. In FY2016, the Advanced Electronic Solutions segment reported revenues of £511.6 million, which accounted for 26.3% of the company's total revenue. The Mission Systems segment provides safety and survival systems for extreme environments, aerial refueling systems and wing-tip to wing-tip mission systems for fast jets, transport aircraft, and rotor-craft. In FY2016, the Mission Systems segment reported revenues of £386.4 million, which accounted for 19.9% of the company's total revenue. The Aviation Services segment delivers outsourced aviation services for military and civil customers worldwide through military training, special mission flight operations, outsourced commercial aviation, and aircraft engineering. In FY2016, the Aviation Services segment reported revenues of £357.2 million, which accounted for 18.4% of the company's total revenue. Geographically, the company classifies its operations into five segments, namely the US, Australia, the UK, other EU, and rest of the world. In FY2016, the US segment accounted for 48.5% of the company's total revenues, followed by Australia with 11%; the UK with 9.5%; other EU with 16.1%; and rest of the world with 15%.
