CITGO Petroleum Corporation (CITGO or 'the company') primarily refine, market, and transport gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, lubricants, petrochemicals, and other petroleum-based industrial products. The company is owned by CITGO Holding, an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The company primarily operates in the US. CITGO divides its products into two categories: consumer products and commercial products. CITGO refines, produces, and markets industry fuels and lubricants and oils under the consumer products category. The industry fuels include gasoline for daily use, diesel fuel, and motor distillate fuels such as jet fuel and kerosene. CITGO owns and operates three highly complex crude oil refineries located in Lake Charles, Louisiana (425,000 barrels-per-day (bpd)), Lemont, Ill (167,000 bpd) and Corpus Christi, Texas (157,000 bpd). These refineries process approximately 204,000 bpd of Venezuelan crudes, including supplies from Orinoco Oil Belt upgraders. The gasoline products of the company are marketed under the Citgo brand. CITGO directly owns or operates 749,000 barrels per day (bpd) of refining capacity. In addition, the company owns and/or operates 48 petroleum product terminals, one of the largest networks in the country. In the recent past, CITGO sold approximately 15.5 billion gallons of refined products. The company markets quality motor fuels to independent marketers who consistently rate CITGO as one of the best branded supplier companies in the industry. CITGO branded marketers sell motor fuels through more than 5,300 independently owned, branded retail outlets. CITGO markets jet fuel directly to airlines and produces a variety of agricultural, automotive, industrial and private label lubricants which are sold to independent distributors, mass marketers and industrial customers as well as other clients. In addition, the company sells petrochemicals and industrial products directly to various manufacturers and industrial companies throughout the United States. CITGO Terminal Facilities & Pipeline network is comprised of the following fully owned, jointly owned and/or operated terminals and pipelines with 48 petroleum product terminals; three fully owned pipelines and six jointly owned pipelines. The terminals store and distribute petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, heating oil and jet fuel in several strategic locations across the United States. In the consumer products segment, CITGO has more than 5,300 branded retail outlets in 29 states and sells approximately 6.5 billion gallons of refined products. The company also supply lubricants through three companies owned blending facilities and five contract blending and packaging plants across the United States. CITGO’s blending and packaging facilities handle more than 2,200 individual formulations. The company offers petrochemicals and solvents for petroleum-based products manufacturers. The company produces petrochemicals such as hexane, textile spirits, camping fuel 2338, heptane, special lactolite, lactol spirits 2300, special naphtholite, mineral seal oil, naphthol spirits, mineral spirits, nonexempt mineral spirits, CITGO solvent 500, benzene, toluene, and xylene.
